Apple Music Widget on Ios 10 , no recently played music

Hello Readers , I kinda just encountered a glitch (maybe?) on my Iphone 6 (128gb)... I recently upgraded to Ios10.0.1 , but I noticed the Music Widget is stuck on " no recently played music " . Meanwhile I have played a dozen songs ... Anyone experiencing this ? And pls any fix ?

See if a restart helps.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Thanks for the response Carolyn. I've tried that a couple of times but still no luck , ive also tried the power button + home button reset method , still no luck.

I synced my iphone with my iTunes this morning , So all off a sudden , I checked the widget this morning and a few album spawned , its working now thanks.
